AMD, OEM, ODM ve parça geliştiricilerinin kullanabilecekleri açık endüstri standardı olarak kullanılmasını planladığı yeni form faktörü DTX'i duyurdu. Yeni form faktörü enerji harcamasını azaltacak şekilde tasarlandı. ATX ile geri uyumlu olacak olan DTX'in ilk prototipleri 2007'nin ilk çeyreğinde sunulacak.

Yetkililer, DTX standartlarının, elektrik harcamalarını kısacak, estetik ve pratik tasarım açısından daha az yer kaplayacak ve daha az ses ve ısı yayacak şekilde belirleneceğini bildirdi. DTX, 244mm'ye 170mm boyutları ile 244mm'ye 244mm boyutu ile mini-ATX'den daha küçük olmasına karşın, 170mm'ye 170mm ile mini ITX'den daha büyük. DTX standardı 35 Watt'lık ısı üretecek şekilde tasarlandı.
