Firefox tarayıcısının 3.6 sürümü Windows 7 işletim sisteminin yeni fonksiyonlarını destekliyor. Şu an temin edilebilen beta - test sürümü Firefox'un Windows 7'nin görev çubuğuna nasıl entegre olduğunu gösteriyor.

Firefox geliştirici takımı şu sıralar tarayıcının Microsoft'un yeni işletim sistemi Windows 7'ye entegrasyonu üzerinde çalışıyor. Firefox 3.6'nın Namoroka isimli test sürümü, tarayıcının Windows 7 görev çubuğuyla entegrasyonunu gösteriyor. Kullanıcı fare imlecini görev çubuğundaki Firefox ikonu üzerine getirdiği anda açık olan tüm sekmelerin ön izlemesini görüyor. Fare ile ön izlemeler üzerinde gezilirken Windows 7 buna paralel sekmeyi ekranda ön plana çıkarıyor ve diğer pencereleri gizliyor (Aero Peek).

Bunun dışında geliştiriciler Windows 7'nin zıplayan listelerini tarayıcıya entegre etmeye başlıyor. Başlat menüsündeki veya görev çubuğundaki Firefox ikonuna sağ tıklandığında en son ziyaret edilen web siteleri gösteriliyor. İstenilen siteler listeye sabitlenebiliyor. Buna karşın Firefox'un indirme yöneticisi kullanılarak indirilen dosyaların ilerleme durumunu belirten bir gösterge henüz test sürümlerine entegre edilmiş değil.

Cesaretli testçiler güncel test sürümünü Mozilla sunucularında bulacaktır. Tedbirli kullanıcıların ise Firefox 3.6'nın final sürümünü beklemesi gerekiyor.

Firefox 3.6 Beta 1 (Namoroka) is the first developer milestone of the next release of Firefox. Namoroka is built on pre-release version of the Gecko 1.9.2 platform, which forms the core of rich internet applications such as Firefox. Please note that this release is intended for developers and testers only.

This Beta of Namoroka/Gecko 1.9.2 introduces several new features, including moving Gecko to using one native widget per top-level content document, a new focus model, several new CSS3 properties, speed improvements to the TraceMonkey JavaScript engine, and startup and responsiveness improvements throughout the application.
